Fulfilment

Accurate and Reliable 

We leverage helm WMS software that the big companies use. This enables seamless integration and barcoded digital picking. We also offer unique visual recording of the packing process, which is a useful tool if you ever get a customer dispute.

 

Shipping 6 days a week with a 4pm cut off time Monday to Friday and 11am on Saturday, your Friday evening shoppers don't have to wait until Tuesday for their orders which is a real advantage in the competitive ecommerce market. ​Also included in the low fixed price is Royal Mail tracked 24 shipping so you don't have to  comprise with a slower service or a cheap unreliable courier.

Your orders are sent out in a quality 100% recyclable box with 100% recyclable void fill if needed. We use peel & seal and 'no tape' ecommerce boxes for DTC orders.

If your products don't fit within our fixed price parameters or require special packaging, e.g. specialised glass or bottle protection, we can work up a bespoke quote for you - we have greater flexibility with FedEx for shipping liquids and DG. In addition to your DTC orders we can also ship wholesale and trade, both boxes & pallets.

Quality control & returns

A visual inspection of products before packing is standard. We reject damaged items, as per your definition. Returns processing is £4.99 per item (included RM48 returns label) or £2.99 if your customer pays. Items are either disposed of or returned to stock as you instruct.

  • Are there any other charges?
    We offer extra storage at £10 per cubic metre per month, returns processing (inc. pre paid shipping label) for £4.99 per return or £2.99 without the prepaid label and charge 50p per additional item over the 4 included. Apart from that, No!. If your orders contain a maximum of 4 items, fit in a box that's smaller than 42cm x 30cm x 30 cm and have a total weight of under 2kg then it's £4.99 all in!
  • What if we have larger orders than your standard max size?
    We are always happy to provide bespoke quotes, just let us know your requirements and we will get back to you the same day.
  • What about invoicing?
    We invoice weekly, with payment by bank transfer or debit card. Alongside your emailed invoice we send a CSV report detailing every order / return processed during the period.
  • What are your cut off times?
    Standard cut off times are 4pm Monday to Friday and 12pm Saturday. If you require a later cut off time we may be able to accommodate.
  • Can we make customer order changes?
    We know that sometimes you get an email or call from a customer who has entered the wrong address (Apple Pay addresses are often the culprit) or ordered the wrong product. If you contact us before 3pm we can normally pull the order and re-label with a new address or manually swap the item(s) out. We have a dedicated email address: support@startupfulfilment.co.uk that is actively monitored during the run up to cut off time.
  • How will our orders go out?
    We treat all client's orders the same, whether big or small. All orders all commingled in the same collection.
  • How do we hand over?
    In our experience the best way to hand over is for you to fulfil up to your current cut off time on a Monday. We then connect to your website or channel (this takes less than 2 minutes) immediately after your cut off time. For a more detailed look at onboarding visit the getting started page here.
  • Can we run a test order to see how you perform?
    Great idea! We would love to run a test order. Send us a typical order combo and the address you want it to go to and we will ship it.
